From a young age, I experienced enormous pain during my period and dealt with it using painkillers just to be able to go to school. For a while, I took birth control pills to manage these conditions, but they caused other unwanted symptoms, so I stopped taking them. As I got older, besides the pain in the first days of my cycle, I regularly felt strange even before it all started: oversensitive, nervous, irritable, or unreasonably unhappy to the point of depression. It took years for me to realize that these were my symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS).
After giving birth, the pain during my cycle lessened, but the psychological states gradually worsened. Every month, 3–5 days before menstruation, I was completely out of it—irritated over trivialities, crying even at diaper commercials. My husband preferred not to talk to me during those days because he knew I'd kill him with a glance. What tormented me the most were my internal psychological states. I would get into such a depression that even if someone brought me a million dollars straight to bed, it wouldn't make me happy or pull me out of despair. The psychological aspect is worse than the physical pain. When the first drops of blood come, I know that it's getting better and that I'll feel mental relief.
What helped me alleviate it was yoga. When I practiced Ashtanga yoga five times a week for a year and followed its recommendations, both the pain and the psychological states during my cycle completely disappeared. But then came a period when I didn't exercise regularly, and the PMS gradually returned in full force. Oils and teas didn't help.
Paradoxically, I found effective help on Instagram. I was inspired by Ninka Peráčková, who was dealing with more serious women's issues and shared that ioy. helped her the most in her treatment. So I studied their products and wanted to order them, but as it happens, they seemed expensive to me. Then again, but something distracted me. Until one day, after a crazy bout of PMS, I was so desperate that I wrote directly to them, asking whether their miracle capsules would help me mentally or if I should go to psychiatry.
Fortunately, I came across the person behind the development of ioy. products, who provided me with an explanation over the phone and later in person about how and why their supplements work, what they're made of, and how to set up the treatment. Every morning, I eagerly mixed the drink and swallowed the capsules. Supposedly, a visible change comes after 1–3 months. I'm quite attuned to my body and its processes, and I felt changes in digestion and the physical sphere immediately.
In the second month, I realized that I got my menstruation without knowing it was coming—without PMS! The next month was the same: minimal pain and very slight mood changes, no nerves or depression. Oh, what a relief. Thanks to that, I relaxed my regimen and forgot to regularly take the PMS capsules and drink the GOOD GUT beverage. But it immediately affected my digestion (I tend to get bloated from everything), so a warning light went off—Denisa, take it regularly, or you'll go crazy again!
If you have a similar problem, I advise you to invest in yourself; it's worth it, it works!
